Sabal LTC pediatric unit is seeking Respiratory Therapists PRN- Flex for both their 7P-7A and 7A-7P shifts.

the primary purpose of this position is to provide direct respiratory care to the residents, and supervise the day-t-day nursing activities.

As a Respiratory Therapist, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and acountability necessary to carry out your assigned duties. You report directly to the Pediatric Unit Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Prepare and administer respiratory medications orderd by the physician.

- Ensure that an adequate suppky of floor stock medications, supplies and equipment is on hand for the needs of the residents. orde prescribed medications, etc. as necessary, and in accordance with policies.

•Plan, develop, and implement individualized resident care plans as applicable, and in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and established policies.
•Efficiently plan, schedule, supervise, perform, document information for treatments provided and services rendered, in accordance with standards of care and established policies and procedures.
•Maintain an excellent working relationship with other departments and coordinate the care provided to assure that resident needs are met in an interdisciplinary manner.

Minimum Requirements:

•Current state licensure.
•Must exhibit skills in performing procedures, assessments and tasks included in the scope of practice, effective communication, policies, education, community relations, and nursing services as they relate to resident care.
•Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, personnel, residents, family members, government agencies and the general public.
•Must be willing to maintain safe work habits and in accordance with safety policies of the facility at all times
