The J. Jill brand targets the 35+ female consumer who wants to look great and feel good. We design and produce product that evokes an esthetic of sophisticated ease, offhand elegance and “Unage Cool.”
J. Jill was recently acquired by Golden Gate Capital, a private equity group with ownership of more than twenty direct-to-consumer and retail brands. J. Jill will operate as an independent company.
Job Purpose: To concept, design and produce effective and consistent brand-appropriate creative for retail signage, packaging, advertising, direct mail and print collateral.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop and produce dynamic, accurate and brand-appropriate visuals that reinforce and enhance the marketing strategy across multi-channels
· Work on all stages of creative from concept through release, as well as checking
color proofs
· Translate branding and marketing objectives into print-ready graphic materials
· Establish and maintain positive working relationships with copy writers, marketing, visual, and other team members to develop creative solutions
· Recommend alternative approaches to improve impact
Qualification Requirements:
· Strong command of typography
· Expert knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
· Highly organized, flexible and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy and meeting established deadlines
· Exhibit strong interpersonal, presentational and leadership skills
· Must possess proactive problem solving skills complimented by good communication skills
Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years combined creative, graphic design and art direction experience with an emphasis on women’s fashion in retail
