Description:
The assistant manager is a store manager in training and must be able to perform all the same duties as the store manager should the manager be absent. The assistant manager must be fully trained in all of the same tasks as the manager including making store schedules, setting sales goals, back stock functions, merchandising functions and overall store operations. It is essential for the assistant manager to be able to train, manage and motivate sales associates in order to promote sales growth and profits. He or she must exhibit and be able to teach a customer focused attitude, demonstrate a sense of urgency and attention to detail while fostering good relationships with sales associates. An outgoing and friendly attitude and an honest desire to serve the customer are requirements.

Qualifications:
Must be friendly and outgoing
1-3 years retail management experience
Experience supervising 5-10 employees
Willing and able to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends & holidays as needed by business
Ability to work independently and cooperatively
Competency with Word, Excel and QuickBooks POS
Ability to stand and walk for extended period of time, bend, stoop and lift 15 pounds
Maintains cleanliness and organizational standards so that the store is neat, clean and safe
