Job Description:

This position directs and oversees the implementation of HR programs and processes to ensure the most effective utilization of human capital needed to maximize business performance. The HR Director reports to the HR Vice President to ensure that direct HR support is provided to the business unit. Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

Responsibilities:



• Ensure the execution of HR programs/processes in the areas of: OE, Staffing, Performance Management, Learning, and Employment Practices
• Support the RVP by providing strategic HR guidance for the regional business unit and driving regional HR practices (e.g., HR Review, coaching/development, 360, etc.)
• Select, develop, coach, and motivate (direct reports)
• Evaluate regional HR practices and trends to ensure best-in-class HR solutions are implemented throughout the regional business unit
• Partners with divisional and centralized (Atlanta SSC) HR partners (Staffing, OE, Talent Management, Employment Practices) to identify strategies to meet short and long-term HR needs in the region and division and provide ongoing feedback regarding HR processes

Required Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Preferred Qualifications:



• Masters Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
• Experience managing others
• Progressive HR generalist experience, including labor relations, union avoidance, EEO and affirmative action,  and government compliance
• Multi-unit management
• Experience in Staffing, Learning, and Talent Management
