Medieval Times seeks a highly motivated, experienced Retail professional for its Atlanta (Lawrenceville), GA location.

POSITION OVERVIEW:  

The Gift Shop Manager has responsibility for leading all activities of the Gift Shop.  This responsibility includes leading a team by creating a customer service-focused culture, and driving sales by inspiring, developing, and providing vision.   

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·        Merchandises Gift Shop to plan-o-gram standards optimizing the presentation to the guest while protecting the inventory from shortage

·        Interviews and makes recommendations for hiring decisions

·        Trains and develops Gift Shop team members including, but not limited to, Gift Shop processes and procedures,  their role in the show, and Castle policies and regulations

·        Insures Gift Shop team members remain in character while interacting with guests

·        Insures adequate staffing of Gift Shop to achieve show objectives

·        Provides regular, timely, and continued performance feedback through coaching and development

·        Monitors labor costs

·        Oversees management and maintenance of all POS terminals and related equipment supporting the Gift Shop

·        Conducts physical inventory following established procedures as required

·        Purchases inventory and supplies are required to support show schedule

·        Manages and approves invoices for payment

·        Assists with special functions, shows, groups, and/or individual guests as required

·        Performs additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

·        High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

·        2 – 3 years in a retail environment

·        1 – 2 years in a supervisory capacity

·        Excellent customer service skills

·        Good computer skills; experience with POS terminals strongly preferred

·        Ability to communicate with Team Members and guests

·        Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods

·        Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
