The XpresSpa Retail & Spa Manager and Assistant Manager are the leaders of the local XpresSpa team. They are the key people in communicating XpresSpa’s philosophy and vision to the customer. The Retail & Spa Manager and Assistant Manager must simultaneously deliver the highest level of customer service to our guests while maintaining strict operational standards and constantly pushing sales. Our Managers must be reliable, self-motivating, commercially aware and able to drive the business as a solid leader. Both positions act as the direct liaisons with airport, airline administrators, and executives. Our Managers must have proven management experience as well as excellent computer skills and the ability to multitask.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • HS Diploma required, College Degree preferred
  • 5-7 years experience in some combination of restaurant, hospitality, or retail management, in a management level position for the Retail & Spa Manager position
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in hospitality or retail sales and a minimum of 1 year experience in a management or assistant management role for the Assistant Manager position
  • Proven financial management experience, including analyzing data, interpreting financial reports, and reading P&L statements
  • Extremely strong scheduling skills
  • Must possess a sales driven attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and detail oriented work ethic with the ability to multi-task
  • Leadership and sales coaching abilities
  • Extraordinary customer service skills, outgoing, highly motivated and self sufficient
  • Strong communications and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing all store operations, including driving sales, scheduling, training, ordering supplies, retail inventory management, opening and closing store, cash register and cash deposits, employee relations, etc.
  • Communicating, driving and exceeding financial goals
  • Maintaining highest level of customer service from all employees
  • Educating and maintaining standard XpresSpa spa service and retail sales practices
  • Coaching sales team on up-selling and selling techniques
  • Interviewing new staff and communicating with Human Resources manager regarding all new hire and employment issues
  • Reviewing financial and operating results to determine where the spa stands relative to budgeted sales, expenses and payroll
  • Ensuring the execution of promotional and merchandising programs as set by merchandiser
  • Inputting of weekly payroll and scheduling of weekly employee shifts
  • Educating and selling clients on services and retail products
  • Promoting cooperation and teamwork in the spa
  • Identifying inefficiencies and developing sound plans for resolution
