Working from a home office this key role is responsible for the management of customer accounts, identifying and developing new prospects to sell FMC’s agricultural products in the Western North Dakota, Western South Dakota, Nebraska and Montana area. The primary focus is on sales targets, business development, building customer relationships and resolving customer issues.
- Responsible for the management of customer accounts, identify and develop new prospects to sell FMC's Agricultural Chemical products.
- Focus on sales targets, business development, building customer relationships and resolving customer issues.
- Schedule and coordinate frequent Customer Contact at retail middle management and distributor rep level
- Implement and utilize FMC Marketing Strategies
- Identify and Communicate Customer Needs to FMC and Influence FMC Response
- Establish and Build Customer Relationships
- Prepare and Deliver Effective Sales Presentation
- Utilize time management and territory management skills.
- Prepare Call Plans, Call Reports, Correspondence
- Oversee account planning and penetration
- Contribute to regional forecasts
- Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities
- Effectively manage Interface between Customer and FMC Organization
- Ensure Sales Objectives are met
- Expense Management
Experience:
- 5–10 years crop protection related sales experience
- Key contributor on complex projects
- Services new and existing business opportunities with key accounts (including national accounts) within a sales territory. Seeks assistance, when necessary, to build account strategies
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions under minimum supervision; occasionally makes decisions of a complex nature within operating guidelinesDevelops and services significant accounts with experience in the support of national accounts
- Demonstrated the ability to make independent judgments with review from management; makes decisions of a complex nature where independent judgment and creativity are required.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with middle to senior management
- Has lead projects or special assignment involving work outside the area/region.
- Agronomic Knowledge
- Very strong interpersonal skills; able to foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration with others
- Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote location
- Able to deliver results on time
- Good computer skills (e.g. SAP, Microsoft tools)
- Requires up to 50% travel.
Education:
- BS with major in weed science, agronomy, or entomology is a definite plus.
- Graduate degree and/or PCA certification a plus.Experience:
