MagiQuest®, the world's largest live action fantasy game that bridges the gap between physical play and computer play, is now open on the third level of Mall of America and searching for an experienced Retail Operations Manager. The 12,000 square-foot adventure complex allows guests to step into a world of mystery, magic and adventure where they can fight goblins, slay dragons and interact with magical creatures including pixies, princesses and more.
Job Description:
To provide leadership in all aspects of retail and help maintain a team environment. You will also be responsible for increasing sales, providing excellent customer service, shipping and receiving, product placement, and product levels on the inventory while assisting management team in ensuring guest satisfaction with day-to-day operations of the business. Ensure that retail operations and activities within functions at an optimum level and consistent with the organization’s goals and objectives. Candidate must have retail management and visual merchandising experience.
Accountabilities:
· Understanding of Great Plains and RMS (POS) Systems to review data, create reports, and input items and orders
· Coordinate and implement retail layout as directed by corporate retail director
· Maintaining an efficient ordering system to ensure all products are available as needed
· Achieving budgeted financial goals set
· Managing required physical inventories by preparing and overseeing the inventory process
· Overseeing damaged or defective goods are handled in accordance to corporate procedures
· Following all procedures specific to inventory control, markdowns, receipt of goods, paperwork flow, and all inventory related matters
· Ensuring proper receiving procedures are followed
· Responsible for retail decisions inherent to enforce smooth daily work flow
· Reviewing retail product invoices against packing lists, addressing proper changes
· Inform corporate office of any slow moving products so adjustments may be made accordingly
· Required to work with upper management to maintain efficiency regarding all aspects of retail
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience Required:
· Minimum of 5 years of retail experience
· A proven ability to supervise effectively
· Visual Merchandising experience
· Extensive customer service experience
