Allen Edmonds is recruiting a self-starting Full-Time Sales Associate for our beautiful LaSalle Street location.  We are looking for retail professionals that uphold and exemplify the company core values of quality, service and integrity to create total customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively builds strong customer relationships by providing the highest level of customer service at all times.  Ensures customer service goals and standards are met by gathering and maintaining accurate customer relations data to be used for follow-up, future sales inquiries, and customer appreciation communication. 

• Ensures that exceptional store standards are being met by maintaining store cleanliness, backroom maintenance, overall general store maintenance, and by keeping well executed merchandise displays.

• Assist with management of retail inventory for store by monitoring store inventory, making inventory counts, accurately entering merchandise receipts, inventory transfers, etc; by stocking merchandise; and by preparing weekly fill-ins.

• Participates in reaching store monthly selling goals by personally assisting customers in the selection and purchase of merchandise by demonstrating products, emphasizing features and benefits.  Answers customer questions on sales floor, email, mail, or by phone on product information, delivery information, and care of products. 

• Responsible for continuous professional improvement and for increasing overall store productivity by achieving expected minimum dollars per transaction and units per transaction in sales. 

• Ensures that all corporate policies and procedures are followed in an effort to maintain corporate philosophy, culture, and vision.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree and/or two to five years experience in retail store sales environment or a combination of applicable experience. 

• Work well in fast paced, team environment; customer service focused, and has successful record of building a customer base.

• Proficient general computer and Microsoft Office skills.

• Familiar with retail point of sale software.

• Willingness to relocate is a plus.  May require occasional travel.
