We are seeking retail "Chocolate Consultant" associates to spread the love of chocolate at our ethel's Chocolate store at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory! ethel's® chocolate is for passionate chocolate lovers. We are seeking enthusiastic team player who are passionate about chocolate, have infectious energy and a true understanding of extraordinary guest service. The motivated team player assists with food/beverage preparation, cashiering, replenishing the sales floor or supporting the team in any way necessary. Consistently sets an example for others to follow in regard to maintaining and believing in organizational vision and standards (guest experience, sense of urgency, responsibility to the team, representing our brand appropriately and responsibly). Part time position is scheduled approximately 24 hours a week. Duties include: - Demonstrated enthusiasm and interest for providing exceptional guest service by greeting and welcoming each guest
- Ability to provide direct support to the guest, by engaging guests in conversation to assess their chocolate needs
- Prepare and assemble hot beverages and fondues, temper chocolate and hand-dip strawberries.
- Handle and package chocolate selection.
- Ability to operate a cash register including point of sale accuracy.
- Ability to recommend and up-sell our products and efficiently to achieve company and personal sales goals.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
- Self-directed and able to work independently
- Maintain a sanitary, clean, and organized work environment.
- Provide merchandise replenishment and maintain visual merchandising standards
- Ability to follow the Guest Service expectation consistently
- Must be on time for work and take breaks in a timely manner
- Maintain a consistently neat and professional appearance in accordance to company Dress Code standards
- Ability to use equipment/tools in support of the job function, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ability to maintain standards in designated area of responsibility.
- Ability to manage time at work effectively and efficiently
- Ability to live by the 5 Principles of Mars, Inc.
- Ability to develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company
- Supportive of management decisions
- Special duties as assigned by the management team
- Train new Associates, as needed.

Qualified candidates must have six months customer service experience required, retail/restaurant/barista experience a plus! Experience with guests in a service oriented environment. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. High school degree or GED equivalent desired. Bilingual in Chinese or Taiwanese preferred. Ability to lift 30 pounds. Demonstrated ability for mathematical skills. The love of chocolate and fun is strongly preferred!
