General Manager – Long Beach, CA

Staples’ General Mangers are responsible for supporting and executing our Easy Brand Promise by:

• Demonstrating and reinforcing the behaviors that make every shopping experience "Easy" for our customers.
• Actively developing and maintaining a team approach in the day-to-day management of store associates.
• Developing associates using coaching, observation and feedback tools that will result in improved performance.
• Effectively coordinating and managing all store activities including inventory, backroom, facility maintenance, front end and money room.
• Achieving and exceeding budgeted sales and profit goals.

The most qualified candidates for this position have the following skills, abilities and experience:

• A minimum of 4-5 years progressively responsible store management experience in a high volume retail environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to drive sales in a customer service focused environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
