Job Description
The Revenue Analyst Protiviti (RA-P) supports the Protiviti contract review, and related engagement evaluation and monitoring to ensure that the business generated from the contract is and will be properly stated in the financial statements of Protiviti in accordance with US GAAP.

The Revenue Analyst has the responsibility of the ongoing analysis, evaluation, and monitoring of each new/existing Job Arrangement Letter, Master Service Agreement and Statement of Work (i.e. contractual agreement) and/or Job Change Order (i.e. modifications made to the original contractual agreement and/or re-estimate). The Revenue Analyst provides support to the Contract Accounting Specialist (s) in their review of contracts and supporting documentation for GAAP evaluation and compliance. This position is responsible for the analysis of all financial activity from the initial project set up through the completion of the project and any/all changes that commence within the project timeframe. This includes documentation of the financial impact created by modifications to the original contract, with consideration given to the job economics, risk, profitability, proper reporting of revenue, and for responding to requests for ad hoc reporting and analysis.

The Revenue Analyst is charged with the continuous, regular, and timely reconciliation of Job Summaries (financial summary of project activity) against the original and/or modified contractual agreement and the Recognition Tool which includes identification, research and reporting discrepancies to the Protiviti Finance Manager for resolution. This position also performs periodic reviews of all assigned clients/projects and review of adherence to company’s Revenue Recognition Policy, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and monitors Peoplesoft ESA processing to ensure accuracy and appropriate billing and reporting of revenue between Protiviti and RHI systems. The position is responsible for working with Credit & Collections to manage the inventory component of targeted Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), ensures inventory recoverability, performs analysis of inventory, and other financial areas within the portfolio.

The Revenue Analyst position maintains business relationships within Client Accounting, the Protiviti Field Service Center, Protiviti Field Finance, the Protiviti Engagement Teams, and RHI Shared Services operations, and other organizational units as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years experience in accounting/finance
• Operational accounting experience a plus; experience in a consulting services industry highly desirable.
• Knowledge and experience with GAAP including revenue recognition and Sarbanes- Oxley.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
• Enterprise-wide applications experience a plus. Access database and Peoplesoft Query tools skills a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; a strong detail and analytical orientation; strong customer service focus
• Strong financial aptitude; critical thinking and relationship building skills
