Conifer Health Solutions is currently hiring for a Revenue Cycle Management Manager

Responsible for providing business insight to their Client, Client designee and Revenue Cycle Services (RCS) Management to ensure revenue cycle performance metrics (as defined by the contract) are achieved and Client key performance indicator variances are identified, quantified and resolved timely. Responsible for working in a collaborative team environment to provide value to customers and complete the education/training deemed necessary for career progression.

Include the following. Others may be assigned.
Assist in identifying, quantifying and tracking Key Performance Indicators; duties will include:
o Developing data collection and reporting tools to facilitate issue recognition on a non-reactive basis;
o Linking problem/issue resolution(s) to RCS strategic initiatives, if applicable;
o Developing and managing resulting project plans and initiatives;
o Working with Conifer team leaders to prepare business cases and value propositions to justify expenses associated with proposed solutions; and
Creation of status updates for presentations to RCS Management, Conifer Senior Leadership and/or Client.
Function as a single point of contact for Clients and their designees. Specifically, advisor on Conifer Performance and services provided outlined by the MSA/SOW.
Partner with appropriate Conifer team members and stakeholders to:
  • Proactively identify issues/trends that may impact Client financial performance;
  • Develop and manage appropriate action plans to address and resolve; and

Ensure RCS Management is kept informed of findings and progress
Assist in the development and management of special projects such as speaker presentations (i.e., HFMA, ACHE, etc.) and other RCS Management Team identified needs.
Review Clients Monthly Reporting Package (dictated by services purchased) to ensure Conifer performance is consistent with contract terms; follow-up with Conifer team members on any degradation in service to obtain an explanation and resolution for presentation to the Client.
Identify Client improvement opportunities that can be addressed by purchase of additional Conifer service offerings; work with analytics and the Conifer business unit(s) to develop the business case and ROI for presentation to the Client.

  • Understand key revenue cycle performance metrics (e.g., net revenue), processes facilitation and the importance of collaborative efforts

Roles and Responsibilities
Client Facing (30%)
Conduct Monthly RC Scorecard Review Meeting
    • RCS Performance Measurements
    • SLA Performance Measures
    • SOW/Contract Specifications

OJT (70%)
Report Creation
Develop hypothesis to understand trends
Identify issue(s) and business units responsible for resolution

Problem Solving
Facilitate the development of outcome oriented work plan or resolution (action plan with timely expected outcome, work steps required, and responsibilities or resolution communication for the customer)
Engage team/leader in understanding and planning work, build commitment
Drive consensus-building, guide solutions
Anticipate potential leader/team issues before meeting, develop contingency plans

Project/People Management & Communication
Respond to customer requests with urgency; at a minimum, all communication from the customer (i.e., calls, e mail) will be acknowledged within 1 business day or CRM specifications.
Manage by outcome and deadline; plan ahead and anticipate issues to avoid crises
Monitor progress against work plan, take remedial actions when needed, initiate business unit owner intervention and escalate appropriately
Establish relationship and build credibility with colleagues (perceived as trusted advisor/thought leader)
Create positive team environment within RCS, resolve team dynamic issues with peer and escalate only after exhausting attempts to work with peer
Keep all stakeholders informed including business units, clients (CFO and VPs of Finance) and RCS Leadership

Participate in the following Meetings:
  1. Revenue Cycle Meeting at each client (CRM Driven)
  2. RCS Team Meeting (Bi-Weekly)
  3. Client Status Meeting with RCS Leadership Team (Weekly by Phone)
  4. Client Retention Meeting (Semi-Annual)

Facilitate the following Meeting:
  1. RCS Scorecard Review Meeting with client representative(s) (Monthly)

Meeting to include:
    • Define precise goals/deliverables for meetings (ensure objectives are shared and understood)
    • Develop meeting agenda (agendas ensure desired outcomes)
    • Perform appropriate analysis, prepare supporting documents (issues description, results presentation, hypothesis, alternatives, and next steps) See Report Creation and Problem Solving in the Roles and Responsibilities Section.
    • Plan document content and format based on tangible desired outcome
    • Review and revise presentations based on customer feedback
    • Develop compelling final documents, ensure quality of presentation (conciseness, spelling, graph quality and clarity)

Additional Duties:
  1. Submission of a Weekly Status Report for each of your clients via CRM
  2. Support for External Client Report (i.e., Exec Team Deck/Update)
  3. Participation in ongoing Training and Education courses deemed essential for career growth
  4. Non-reactive analysis of available data for optimal revenue cycle outcomes and improvement opportunity
  5. Collaborative development of presentation material for industry conferences, internal meetings, and potential client meetings.

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.
  • 4 year college degree in business administration, finance or health administration experience
  • 1-3 years experience and working knowledge of patient financial service operations and revenue cycle best practices
