Job Title:  Rim Supervisor

 

Position Description:

Under broad direction, manages service delivery from a specific RIM workgroup.  Establishes workgroup priorities and assesses progress against expected goals.  Identify and escalates issues for management attention, as required. Exhibits strong client communication, project management and facilitation skills.  Awareness of laws affecting records and information management.  Maintains knowledge of RIM principles, technologies, best practices and trends. 

 

Responsibilities:

·          Supervising and coordinating activities of workers in their workgroup

·          Analyzing customer data for trends indicating potential functional requirements

·          Assessing and prioritizing customer information management requests to determine best means of delivering results to the customer

·          Reviewing workflow for accuracy and responsiveness to RIM requests and making recommendations for process efficiencies and improvements. 

·          Working with Information Technology (IT) to engage vendors in maintaining applications required to manage corporate records 

·          Developing operational policies, procedures, and communications, as necessary, to ensure the consistent application of industry regulations and organizational practices

·          Recommending and implementing processes to ensure cost-effective storage, delivery, and retrieval of records. 

·          Ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate records to support the day-to-day requirements of the end user.

·          Managing the process for acquiring RIM goods and services via procurement contracts.

 

Requirements:

·          Skills are typically acquired through a Bachelor degree and 7 years experience in a related field, including experience in a management or supervisory role.
