About the Job





Programming Engineer for a growing company:






This
position is for a highly successful and growing Robotics and Automation firm. This
programmer’s main focus will be responsible for programming robots, however
knowledge of PLC’s HMI’s and other automation controls is a plus. This
candidate must be able to handle low supervision and produce results. This Southern Wisconsin company is looking for a self starter
who is motivated and willing to learn in a family-like atmosphere. So if you

Desired person will have the
following:






·       
A
general understanding of automation -- this would include but not be limited
to: high-speed assembly machinery, SCADA / Gantry / Six-Axis Robotics, and
general automation technology, including the programming elements to create
such automation.



 



·       
Capable
of interfacing with internal personnel and vendors on component selection,
assembly, troubleshooting and final documentation, project management and leadership
skills.



 



·       
An
understanding of safe working practices and principles.



 



·       
Minimum
qualifications:



o      
BS
(4-yr degree) and/or AS (2 year degree)  in Electrical Engineering, Process Controls, Programming,
or Industrial Controls. Employer will also accept individuals with 5 years
working experience in related fields.



o      
At
least 3 years experience working on the design, analysis and fabrication of Robotic
based control systems. (Preferably Fanuc Robot controllers and programming, automation
controls and systems)



o      
SOLID
knowledge of both AC and DC circuits.



o      
PLC
programming and troubleshooting



 



Additional
Qualifications:



 



o      
Knowledge
of Roboguide, PickTool,  and PalletTool



o      
Heavy
emphasis on PLC programming and HMI development (Allen-Bradley experience is
preferred)



o      
Strong
diagnostic and troubleshooting skills



o      
Broad
automation exposure, especially with robotics



o      
PC
literate



o      
CAD
Experience, preferably with Autodesk’s AutoCAD series



o      
Familiarity
with associated codes for this field; NEC, OSHA, RIA (certification a plus)
