Robotics Engineer
About the Job
Responsible for providing Engineering skills to establish proper operation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, reliability and spare parts for all plant robots and plant production equipment. This function also provides direct technical support for the maintenance department to imporve the overall preformance of the production facility by: developing technician effectiveness with on-the-job training, spare parts availability, implementing continual improvement projects and suppporting production. In addition, the function provides project management for all product programs.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in integration, design of end effectors, programming simulation and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of ABB Robots.
Experience in aluminum die casting or in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with hands on experience in design, installation, start-up, trouble shooting and on-going maintenance of highly automated equipment is desired.
Candidate must be skilled in PLC programming and possess the ability to utilize a PLC to initiate/perform machine trouble shooting techniques. Must be able to develop and modify code.
Must have proficiency using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
