Design packaging systems to support a complete range of industrial gas turbine and rotating equipment products
Working directly with customer’s specifications to ensure modifications to standard designs meet established company change
Control procedures developing a new system design as needed
Designs, improves & develops both new and existing systems
Defining of key system parameters such as; set points, control sequence, flows, pressures, temperatures and P&ID's (system diagrams) throughout the system
Collaborating across all company departments and being a liaison to marketing, suppliers and customers to ensure the highest quality service and systems
Assist the Design/Drafting group with the development of assembly and fabrication drawings while establishing budgets and controlling costs
Providing technical support to manufacturing, field service and marketing personnel
Experience Required:
BS in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
5 + years experience in Mechanical Engineering
3+ years experience Rotating Machinery Packaging or similar industry
Experience in the specification and design of ancillary systems for rotating equipment, ideally for gas turbines
Knowledge of API codes and standards for the petrochemical industry
Requires a fundamental understanding of system operation and performance, equipment selection, and piping design, including pressure loss evaluation, orifice sizing
Must have designed ancillary systems including lubrication, hydraulic control, starting, gas and liquid fuel, instrument air, and dry gas seal supply (for centrifugal compressors), ideally for gas turbine packages
Additionally the candidate will have experience specifying and designing systems with the following components; pumps, coolers, filters, relief valves, control valves, instrumentation, motors (electric and hydraulic), heaters, structural fabrications, piping, tubing, flexible hose, gearboxes, compressors, and generators
The ability to verify functionality of a gas turbine ancillary system and conformance to customer specifications; preparing and interpreting engineering specifications; and producing P&ID's (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) and wiring assemblies
Reviewed and approved project drawings and documentation, and interface directly with customers during vendor co-ordination meetings and factory tests
Overall responsibility of several system designs on multiple projects, which demands the individual be self-directed and capable of working as part of a team working to a higher level plan to ensure deliverables are to RR best practices and on time
Offering:
Salary of 75,000 to 90,000 dollars based on experiences
