Description:

Leading Atlanta based Commercial GC seeking minimum ten years experienced Safety Manager.

Job Purpose:

Develop, manage and administer the companies risk management, safety and training programs.

Duties:

The qualified individual will be responsible for leading, developing, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive risk, safety and occupational health and safety program for its employees that will identify training needs in order to develop and implement safety awareness initiatives that improve safety performance and achieve safety effectiveness for the company and ensure compliance with company policy and federal, state and local regulatory requirements.

Skills/Qualifications:

Areas of focus are construction safety and health, safety communication, hazard recognition, evaluation and control, personal protective equipment, safety inspections, OSHA 1926 rules and regulations, ergonomics and employee training and involvement.  The position works closely with Operations and Risk Management and will require travel in the Southeast.
