SALES ENGINEER – UTILITIES, REFINERIES, PETROCHEMICAL

 

Location:  Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Houston, Cincinnati

 

My client’s process division produces ASME reactors, columns, pressure vessels for the chemical and downstream petrochemical industries, and shop built or field erected alloy vessels and fermentation equipment with mechanical systems for the food and beverage industries.  In addition to their process division, they are a full service maintenance contractor serving a variety of industries including power generation.  Their primary services include boiler maintenance, mechanical services and clean air technology.  They are seeking a successful Sales Engineer for fabricated products in their process division who possesses the following skills and attributes:

 

  • MUST have experience selling into utilities, refineries, and/or petrochemical industry
  • BS Degree in Engineering or related field is desired but not required –more important are good people skills, street smarts, perseverance and the desire to “get ahead” is a must!
  • 7-10+ years power industry sales/utility sales

 

Primary Responsibilities

·         Sales: specialist in the chemical and/or refinery industries

·         New Market Development: identify and develop new customers

·         Project Support:  work with key departments to address customer and project needs

·         Customer Relations:  develop and maintain relationships with customers; know their personnel, unique needs, values and requirements
