Job Description:

If you are a highly-motivated, results-oriented SALES REPRESENTATIVE / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE that enjoys traveling approximately 75% of your time, networking with clients, you may be our ideal candidate.  You will be responsible for maintaining top level service for existing accounts while developing new accounts in your assigned territory. 

 

Our ideal candidate possesses experience in the following:

  • Rotating equipment
  • Gears
  • Gearboxes / Gear boxes
  • OEMs & Distributors
  • Power transmission
  • OEM experience selling to END USERS!   

AND has experience in sales with the following types of clients:

  • Mines / Mining Operations
  • Material Handling OEMs
  • Chemical plants
  • Coal plants
  • Power generation plants
  • Refineries
  • Hydro electric plants

Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Spend about 75% of your time on the road visiting customer sites performing informal, preliminary equipment surveys as required
  • Act as direct liaison to assist Field Service in resolving problems as they may arise
  • Generate comprehensive quotes / proposals to meet customer requirements
  • Complete and submit reports such as those listed below in a timely manner
    • Weekly expense reports
    • Weekly call reports
    • Monthly activity reports
    • Target account planning
    • Weekly itinerary
  • Ensure the following
    • Sales calls are accurately reported
    • Proper follow-up is done with regard to quotations
    • Closing transactions are done in a timely manner 

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience performing sales based activities (preferably within a parts manufacturing company dealing with rotating equipment and power transmission)
  • Experience selling to end users and OEMs
  • Willingness to acquire an in-depth knowledge of
    • Company product offerings and their related prime market applications and aftermarket potential
    • Customers and markets within the assigned territory
  • Sales experience with the following types of clients:
    • Chemical plants
    • Coal plants
    • Power generation plants
    • Refineries
    • Hydro electric plants
  • Possess a general knowledge of
    • Gear component manufacturing and repair
    • Gear unit assembly
    • Test procedures
    • Rotating equipment
    • Gears / Gearboxes / Gear boxes
    • Power transmission
    • Experience selling to END USERS and OEMs
  • Able to meet deadlines, work on short lead times, and handle high-stress situations
  • Flexible enough to meet demanding travel requirements
  • Comfortable driving at night on an as needed basis
  • Demonstrated ability to perform closely within a team environment while possessing the ability to proceed independently when required with minimal supervision even when multiple priorities exist
  • Capable of managing time effectively
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Know how to efficiently operate a computer 

 Education:

Bachelors Degree (BSME Preferred)

 

Rate of Pay:

$60,000 to $70,000 plus Commission

 

Hours:

1st Shift
