SAN / Server Engineer. SAN Expert Needed!! Contract To Perm
Great long term opportunity. SAN Engineer will manage, administer, upgrade, and maintain the Storage Infrastructure for this 100+ TB environment. This environment is stable, but continuing to upgrade and expand capacity. You will be responsible for contributing leadership, industry developments, and best practices to SAN related initiatives. Environment includes DASD, NAS, FC and iSCSI connected storage and you will support this Host-to-Storage connectivity. You will provide assistance to backup strategies with SAN-base Snapshot technologies, support DR strategy, and work extensively with Server and DBA teams to evaluate and load balance systems. Assist with security, configuration management, change control processes, and software upgrades as events unfold. This is an HP Storage environment - you will work with great equipment. Contract to perm position - this will convert to full-time.

Required Experience- 6+ Strong years of SAN engineering experience in large multi-teribyte environment
- Expert knowledge and experience in latest SAN techologies and strategies
- Strong FC, NAS, and DASD experience
- Good DR, Security, and Change Control experience
- Strong Load Balancing and Server configuration experiece
- Good Windows and SQL Server experience. Can be light with SQL Server
- Some experience with HP SAN required. One or more of 24000s, EVA 4400s and EVA 8400.
- iSCSI experience may be required
