Global Finance Technology (GFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to drive success.  In partnership with Global Finance Operations, Corporate Systems Infrastructure and others, we deliver solutions to meet the requirements of our key clients.  GFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets while offering plan and build support for reporting tools.

 
The SAP BI Developer will be responsible for the implementation and support of SAP Net Weaver BI 7.0 applications including: data modeling, data store objects, cubes, reports, extractions, transformations, and loading of data from SAP and non-SAP systems. Responsibilities also include design and development of new SAP BI solutions as well as maintenance, support, and enhancement of the existing SAP BI environment.  In addition, the candidate will be responsible for developing BEX queries and supporting the development of reports in Business Objects (WebIntelligence and Crystal). 
 
Key responsibilities may include:

• Assist with the creation of functional designs for BI projects


• Create technical design specifications for the data model, data load processes for SAP and non-SAP sources, and BEX queries


• Assist the ERP with technical specifications for the SAP data extractions


• Assist with creation of technical design specifications for Business Objects reports


• Performs the technical build and unit testing of assigned BI development objects


• Creates, executes and documents tests necessary to ensure that BI objects meet functional and performance requirements


• Performs fixes on developed objects for defects identified in testing


• Ensures the utilization of established development processes and standards in order to ensure the quality of the deliverables


• Conduct performance, load, and stress testing and tuning


• Work closely with BASIS team to set up and configure the BI environment


• Work closely with SAP ERP team to create data extracts


• Identifies and analyzes team and project risks and mitigates them appropriately

• Bachelors Degree or higher


• 5-7 years of Application Development


• 3 + years of SAP BI development experience


• SAP Functional experience - SAP FI and SAP CO preferred


• Familiarity with ABAP development


• In-depth knowledge of and extensive experience with SAP BW/BI, with a concentration in areas of BW Modeling using Administrator Workbench


• Extensive Experience in Design and Development of MultiProviders, Infocubes, InfoObjects, ODS Objects, InfoPackages, InfoSources, Datasources, Transfer Rules, Update Rules with consistent and efficient Multi-Dimensional Data Modeling techniques


• Scheduling with process chains and 3^rd party scheduling tools (Autosys and Control-M)


• Performance tuning


• Experience in design and development of Generic Custom Datasources for data from non-SAP Systems


• Experience in extraction of data from SAPBI using Open Hub (Infospoke) to ETL


• Experience with Process Chains, Info Cube analysis, Business Content Installation and Transport Management using BW Transport Connection.


• Experience with Business Explorer Analyzer, Browser and Query Designer

• Strong oral and written communication skills
