Configuration Analyst should have strong knowledge of departmental procedures and standards, as well as the various technologies utilized by the department. Departmental procedures and standards must be adhered to when performing assigned tasks. A Configuration Analyst will interact extensively with the client community and therefore should possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Analyze client requests and design solutions based on stated requirements.
• Ability to evaluate and develop alternative technical solutions within SAP to re-engineer business processes within the confines of the SAP software. Specifically for SAP’s Strategic Enterprise Management system.
• Write SAP programming specifications, in accordance with departmental standards.
• Provide production support for the Strategic Enterprise Management system where we use the BCS and BPS modules.
• Coordinate configuration, development and testing efforts for IT staff and clients.
• Update procedures, operation instructions, and any other documentation impacted by programming changes.
• Support other staff members as appropriate.
• Participate in off-shift system support as necessary.
• Participate on department committees/teams within the IS department to develop various procedures/policies.
3-5 years working with the Strategic Enterprise Management system..
• Have worked with the SAP R/3 and BW systems
• SAP certification in SEM is a plus
