SUMMARY OVERVIEW

The SAP Project Manager is responsible for managing enterprise IT projects,within the Finance Value Chain, from a delivery perspective, including managing the software development life cycle and defining requirements, development and implementation, testing, quality assurance and knowledge transfer. This position provides the opportunity to play a key role in developing and leveraging the company’s SAP capabilities and resources.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Three to five years of hands-on project management experience in an enterprise environment.
Two or more years managing SAP finance projects
PMP certification is a plus.
Hands-on configuration experience in SAP FI/CO is preferred.
This position requires 20-25% travel.

Responsibilities include the following:
•Define direction and requirements to ensure timely implementation of new project/programs and the related cost information for use in pricing strategies.
•Devise creative solutions to critical customer and user needs.
•Establish team effort focused on project goals and objectives.
•Provide guidance and support to team members proactively anticipating and overcoming obstacles.
•Set high standards to achieve objectives.
•Integrate corporate initiatives into project plans.
•Provide project management office and Information Technology senior leadership team with regular project performance status, variances to plan, and identification of corrective actions (if required).



JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or computer related discipline required. 8-10 years total experience. 5+ years as a Project Manager. 40 additional credit hours of formal Project Management courses or equivalent. Project Management certification (PMI, or other).


LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Customer service skills as well as effective communication skills – both verbal and written. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Understand, use and interpret abstract concepts. Understand and create effective messages for significantly different audiences and outcomes. Ability to effectively apply techniques in highly complex situations involving disparate or large groups, very broad scope, many factors and high risk. Ability to facilitate personal and group decision-making, and incorporate these into daily activities. Ability to apply knowledge in situations typically involving highly complex and complicated factor showing a high degree of ambiguity, impacting either a broad or highly significant market, and having significant potential financial or business consequences.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Individual will be required to use computer keyboards or other equipment for extended periods of time. Individual may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision for reading and studying technical materials and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of the time. Specific physical abilities required by the job may include walking, reaching carrying and lifting up to 25 lbs, with some occasional lifting up to 50lbs.

Individual’s primary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.
