PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Industry Business Unit (IBU) Wholesale Distribution provides industry thought leadership both inside and outside SAP, sets and drives the industry strategy, drives understanding of industry requirements and resulting products and solutions, provides strategic customer relationship support, and acts as the interface between SAPs global field and development organization. We are looking for a Solution Manager to help translate business requirements into future SAP solutions. Together with a team of highly skilled Solution Managers he/she will define the future Industry strategy & Solution portfolio.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Be an acknowledged industry expert and provide insight and leadership to SAP activities in this industry
Industry strategy and execution plan
Provide on-going strategic customer engagement, in coordination with field organizations, including assisting in strategic sales efforts
Provide business development capability for this industry
Position SAP as thought leader in front of customers and partners
Assist in resolution of customer escalations, provide leadership to strategic projects
Define, document and test future SAP solutions for the Wholesale Distribution Industry
WORK EXPERIENCE
• 5 to 7 years experience in working within the Wholesale Distribution industry, preferably in a variety of operational roles
• Major contributor in a Leadership position in solutions business focused on this industry
• Established track record of working in a complex solution environment, helping customers and companies clearly understand solution value
• Ability to work within a virtual, international team
• Strong customer facing & communication skills

• Solid Wholesale Distribution business process understanding
• Ability to simplify complex situations and to focus on essentials
• Ability to deliver results in an evolving, dynamic environment
• Experience in working with international & virtual teams
• Hands-on executer with strong communication skills
• Experience working in a global project environment with multiple stakeholders

• Bachelors degree required, masters/graduate degree preferred
