Duties And Responsibilities: Responsible for advanced SAS programming and statistical applications support in the Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research (CBAR). This position independently targets, investigates, and solves problems in order to create, design, and implement a variety of organization-wide programs, graphics modules and program suites in SAS, UNIX, and other statistical programming languages. A large part of this position is creating, modifying, and maintaining the modular standardized programs that are used by all of the analysts at CBAR. This person must have expertise in advanced areas of SAS such as macro language and ODS; an additional duty of this position is acting as a SAS resource and mentor for biostatisticians and programmers. **Please Note: This is a grant funded position through 5/31/13**
Basic Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor's degree, preferably in Math, Computer Science or Statistics or equivalent experience. At least 2 years of solid SAS programming experience is necessary, ideally in a clinical trials setting and including advanced SAS macro language and ODS. Ability to program in UNIX is strongly desired. The ability to program using S-Plus, R, SAS/Graph, and/or SAS's proc template is a plus.
