Within Deloitte & Touche, our Control Assurance practice identifies, develops, and tests internal control policies and procedures within business process and information technology environments. These services may be provided as part of an internal audit or audit of financial statements, or as individual projects resulting from major organizational changes, implementation of new technologies, or reliance on third-party service providers. In addition, we provide assurance in connection with custom system development projects and applications requiring the testing of data quality and integrity.
Companies face an increasing variety of internal control requirements
today, including those associated with Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as other industry and control requirements. Our Control Assurance practice works with organizations to effectively leverage controls to meet requirements and to benefit the business.
Services include:
• Compliance Controls Reviews, including readiness services for addressing requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley
• Data Quality and Analysis
• System Project Assurance
Quantitative Business Analyst/Consultant Responsibilities:
- Responsible for manipulating large databases, then transforming the data into business information that helps clients fulfill strategic objectives.
- Search for meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships by sifting through large amounts of data and explain the findings to people with varying backgrounds.

Required skills:
- Must possess a Bachelor degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or related fields, although analytical liberal arts and business backgrounds will also be strongly considered.
- 1+ years of experience in quantitative data analysis or applied economics required
- Knowledge of powerpoint essential
Preferred Skills:
- Preferred experience involves manipulation of large financial databases and/or hands on use of statistical or other quantitative tools to analyze data, identify trends, and present related results to clients with varying levels of sophistication
- Knowledge of SAS and/or HTML is very helpful
- Experience with mortgages, mortgage-backed securities, or other types of financial assets a plus
Candidates must reside in the Washington DC metropolitan area and be
open to travel
