Description

The Aircraft Mechanic I/Sheet Metal troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun and drills. This worker reads and interprets manufactures and aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. This mechanic performs scheduled maintenance inspections in accordance with published requirements. Work involves: replacing or repairing worn or damaged aircraft components/systems. An A&P license is preferred but not required. CH-47, AH-64, UH-60 and OH-58 experience is preferred. Sheet metal experience is required for this position.


Qualification
Personnel must have background CH-47D, AH-64D, UH-60A/L and OH-58D sheetmetal/structural repair backroundand be familiar with MWO applications. Personnel may be required to travel on MWO Road Teams. Personnel maybe required to work second shift.
NOTE: Safety shoe and Safety glasses required and all tool boxes must be shadow prior to arrival at site.
