Our company has been supporting individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviors in Northeast Wisconsin since 2002. All individuals we support present problem behaviors. This is our specialty. The company seeks to support those individuals in the community either through residential services or by providing behavior support plans for other residential settings. Our programs strive to provide a safe, structured, and adaptable living environment in a community setting. The Company service model offers a reliable community placement option for individuals who display challenging behaviors. The company has a "no failure approach" to our service delivery system.
Job Summary: The Placement Specialist will work with Management Care Organizations and County-based Human service officials to get new clients into the company’s residential settings. The Placement Specialist will gather client information including: medical and psychiatric diagnoses, behavioral issues, and other areas which impact residential service plans or behavior plans. The Placement Specialist will call, develop presentations, and make customers aware of our services and sell those services to these customers. In addition, the Placement Specialist will develop better more comprehensive marketing strategies to make MCOs and County Employees aware of the services offered by the company and will promote these services offer by the company to these customers. The Placement Specialist must be able to present our services in an effective and efficient manner to acquire new clients into our caseload. The Placement Specialist will also attend meetings to understand the needs of this individual up to and including the 30-day Individual support Plan meeting, about a month after physical placement into the new setting. This is where transference of communication goes to the operation and program managers. The caseload consists of adults with a wide range of disability levels that have posed barriers to employment, and community integration. The Placement Specialist is also responsible for maintaining appropriate records of presentations, stakeholders’ data base, and other related duties.
Benefits: Full time; exempt position. Benefit package includes health, dental, life and disability insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation and sick leave, and a 401K pension plan and mileage reimbursement. Primary hours are days, Monday through Friday but must also be able to work occasional weekends and evenings as required.
Qualifications: Master's Degree in a field related to business, marketing or psychology. A good candidate must be able to relate well to social workers, nurses, guardians, and clients with disabilities. Experience in marketing, sales, and good presentation and writing skills are needed. You must be competent in basic computer skills, including Windows, word-processing and spreadsheets. You also must pass DHS background check and other criminal background checks as required by the company. Must have a valid driver’s license, be insurable as defined by our insurance carrier, and able to provide own transportation.
