A Fortune 100 firm company in Manhattan is seeking a "Senior Financial Manager/Analyst" with significant experience supporting a B2C Direct marketing business. The candidate will analyze performance of a $200-million direct-to-consumer insurance business and will lead all P&L reporting/forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a combined marketing analytics and financial reporting background.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and project revenues, expenses, sales, ROIs and Profit Margins on all businesses monthly.
- Prepare budgets and monthly financial reconciliations reports.
- Extensive ad-hoc analysis & reporting of revenue/expenses/profitability
- Create models and perform financial analysis for all new business opportunities.
- Assist key business leaders in managing profitability, growth, and overall financial performance
- Work on a variety of reports to track the business including loss ratios, market trends and cancellation rates.
- Assess the financial reporting process and recommend/implement solutions to improve accuracy and timeliness
Candidates must have the following abilities & experience:
- 7+ Years business experience in a combination of finance and/or marketing roles
- 5+ Years financial reporting/analysis experience (preferably at a Fortune 100 Firm and preferably supporting a business of $100-million revenue or larger)
- 3+ Years experience working in a large-scale direct-to-consumer business in either a marketing or finance role
- 3+ years experience in either insurance or financial services
- Very strong analytical abilities
- The ability to run financial models (Proformas) and prior experience in forecasting and tracking.
- Exceptional skills with Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- GAAP knowledge
- Proven leadership track record in dynamic/changing environments
- Strong communications and presentation skills (at all levels)
- Undergraduate degree required (preferably in Finance or Marketing); MBA preferred
Preferred experience (not required)
A direct marketing background, ideally with experience in direct marketing accounting
Experience using / querying a relational data warehouse (i.e., SQL)
Strong modeling/reporting experience with recurring revenue products including lapse/persistency models

- This is a consult-to-hire position that starts as a 6-12 month contract-role with a strong opportunity for full-time hire by the Fortune 100 firm during the consulting period.
