SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

Job Purpose and Scope
Lead large projects with significant business impact. Effectively achieve business results. Develop innovative programs to meet business needs. Demonstrate technical expertise and consult in a range of technical, product, and business areas.
Ensure clear communication of project plans and results to key customers.
Coach, guide, and teach knowledge to others.
Design and produce new products, and modify and update existing products
Recommend techical direction to business plans.
Protect technologies/products with patents and trade secrets.
Functional Role of a Senior Process Engineer:
Performs an assortment of complex chemical engineering duties in order to design plant equipment and processes
Conducts complex research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes
Designs and plans layouts
Oversees personnel engaged in constructing, controlling and improving equipment for carrying out manufacturing processes on a commercial scale
Determines most effective arrangement of operations
Expectations and Contributions:
Seasoned professional contributor with responsibility for an advanced area of work in the professional field.
May be responsible for entire projects having significant scope/impact to department results.
Lead team in complex problem-solving activities.
Lead parts of R&E-wide initiatives. Lead KCP R&E-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelors degree in a relevant field of engineering or equivalent experience
- Must have experience working in a mill/manufacturing setting
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in one or more areas of research subject matter/areas
- Experience in program and project administration
- Experience working in a global or similarly structured organization
- Experience supporting organizational change processes
- Experience guiding and mentoring peers and/or junior level colleagues
