Basic Responsibility:
Responsible for high and low acid aseptic filling and processing equipment, and capable of providing service to customers for repairs/maintenance of existing equipment, as well as training customers of correct operation of new equipment and providing any training needed on existing equipment. Must have knowledge and ability to plan equipment installations including pre-installation visits.
Specific Duties:
· Effectively communicate to resolve any problems during installations or potential problems during pre-installation, as well as discussing/solving problems by phone when needed.
· Job requires domestic and international travel in the Americas.
· Accurately report problems with equipment to Service Dept.
· Work with Research & Development as needed on developing new equipment as well as Sales/Service Departments to implement new equipment into standard product line.
· Accurately prepare and submit service reports and expense reports in a timely manner.
Educational Requirements:
· Associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or, high School and vocational training in electrical and mechanical engineering.
· Experience in PLC troubleshooting and programming. Allen Bradley, Siemens. Beckhoff PC controls experience a plus.
Technical Knowledge Requirements:
· Electrical, and Mechanical aptitude.
· Extensive experience in liquid food processing and filling.
· Low acid aseptic processing and filling experience preferred.
· Knowledge of FDA and PMO regulations related to processing and filling.
· PLC and PC control systems experience. PLC Trouble shooting experience required and PLC programming a plus.
· Knowledge of food and dairy processing operation, either in plant or as a part of equipment manufacturing.
· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plant staffing, plant manager to maintenance staff.
Experience:
· 3 to 5 years experience working with liquid food processing and filling equipment.
