SERVICE & MAINTENANCE HANDYMEN/TECHNICIANS

California Commercial Maintenance & Construction Company is hiring regional Service & Maintenance Handymen/Technician for its San Fernando Valley region.

Service & Maintenance Handymen/Technicians are needed in the following regional hub:

·         San Fernando Valley – generally services Thousand Oaks to Pomona

JOB TITLE:  Service & Maintenance Technician

Service & Maintenance Technicians with qualified experience in the following categories will be considered:

-       Quick service restaurant construction, service and maintenance

-       Fuel station/convenience construction, service and maintenance

-       Retail chain store construction, service and maintenance

GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·         General Trade/Handyman Experience

·         Strong Carpentry Skills

·         Strong Commercial Plumbing Skills

·         Doors and hardware is a plus

·         HVAC and Refrigeration is a plus

·         Electrical is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·         Responds to 24/7 emergency coverage as needed – Position May require night work / Graveyard Shifts

·         Performs all outlined maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks assigned

·         Performs minor equipment and building repairs requested

·         Responds to Priority 1 emergency requests from which are inclusive of any request which is a safety concern for employees or customers, health department shut-down, city official shut-down or substantial impact on sales

·         Assists with keeping facility records updated at store level by submitting all completed paperwork and photos as required

·         Responsible for daily updates detailing store visits, times on-site and any other changes which affect schedule

·         Assists and educates area managers and facility managers with minor facility troubleshooting

·         Assists and interacts with landlord related facility issues which require on-site involvement as requested by Facilities Manager

·         Responsible for Vehicle Maintenance and Parts Inventory and responsible for loss or theft

·         Maintains tools inventory

·         Follows all guidelines as set forth by client and company

·         Vehicle and tools preferred

·         Fast-paced, high-pressure environment; may be working alongside multiple trades

·         Tasks may require take-off/preconstruction

·         May require cast iron and ABS work

·         May require rough-In copper and set finish

·         May require standing  inspections

·         ADA knowledge – a plus

·         Maintains daily and weekly paperwork

–      Time sheets/Mileage reports

–      Receipts/Purchase orders

–      Customer sign-off forms, when applicable

Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds.  Personnel are expected to perform repetitive physical tasks that require lifting, pushing, and pulling of material/product and standing throughout each shift.

Candidates must have valid California Driver License and clean driving record.  All final candidates will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report, Drug Test, and Criminal Background Check prior to hiring.
