Safety,Health & Environmental (SHE) Supervisor oversees the site’s SHE (Safety, Health, & Environmental) Management System and leads the TPM SHE Pillar ensuring that the site SHE Management System meets regulatory requirements, effectively controls SHE risks, and delivers continuous improvement in SHE performance.

Position Responsibility

1. Design, development, and maintenance of a comprehensive site SHE management system.

2. Leading of the site TPM SHE Pillar ensuring the application of TPM continuous improvement principles (RCA, Kiazens…) to the SHE area.

3. Maintenance of documentation related to OSHE (OSHA Log Tracking, OSHA Training, and OSHA Inspections) and EPA (emissions, effluent, & waste records, permits) Compliance.

4. Coordination and oversight of the site’s SHE risk management process.

5. Coordination of all safety, health, & environmental training.

6. Develop and tracking of site SHE improvement targets and activities.

7. Serving as a SHE change agent.

8. Effectively Interfacing with Outside regulatory agencies, Corporate SHE personnel, Legal.

9. Coordinates and implements Environmental audits, Energy audits and Energy conservation initiatives and all SHE inspections.

Challenges

1. Creating an environment and organizational culture focused on continual improvement in SHE performance.

2. Developing a comprehensive site SHE management system that is owned by the entire site organization.

3. Establishing a SHE management system that actively involves all site personnel and established accountability for SHE performance.

4. Promoting and advancing the site SHE agenda by strategically influencing all site functions.

5. Creating a passion for SHE excellence throughout the organization.

6. Diplomatic handling of sensitive SHE issues and the ability to establish and foster effective team work with key stakeholders at the plant (HR, the Management team, the employee population )

Remaining current of federal, state, and local regulations on occupation safety and environmental matters.

7. The incumbent must have the ability to effectively coach upward and downward and to demonstrate the cost benefit & potential consequences of decisions made.

8. Identifying and adopting leading SHE practice.
