CHEMICAL PLANT OPERATORS

We serve the municipal, industrial, and mining industries as well as a wide array of specialty applications.  SNF Holding Company is currently seeking Chemical Plant Operators.  The company is located in Riceboro, GA, only 20 miles south of Savannah, GA. 

This individual will be responsible for operating and maintaining process equipment in the facility. This includes the operation of reactors, storage tanks, filters, lab tests and associated utilities. Reporting to the Supervisor this individual will:

• Operate equipment per production procedures
• Complete production documentation
• Perform routine lab tests
• Troubleshoot process or equipment problems
• Maintain communication, oral & written, with operators, and management.
• Have ability to climb stairs & ladders, walk, stoop, bend or stretch to open valves, check instrumentation & equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in humid conditions, non-weather related, as well as working in production areas not climate-controlled

REQUIREMENTS

§         High school diploma or GED

§         Aptitude for mechanical work

§         Ability to routinely lift up to 55 pounds; lifting up to 1250 times in an 8 hour shift

§         Ability to learn how to drive a forklift

§         Basic math skills

§         Reliable Transportation to work

§         Willing and able to work rotating shifts

HOW DO I APPLY?

1                     Interested candidate must call the Savannah Technical College Work Ready Hotline at 912.443.3014 to schedule the Work Keys Skills Assessment at any Savannah Technical College location.  The test is 4 hours and consists of Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, Reading for Information and Work Habits.  (Flyer can be downloaded at http://www.snfinc.com/availablepositions.html ).

2                     Once candidate meets certification level, they will be authorized to fill out the application ( http://www.snfinc.com/employmentapplication.html ).  The application must be faxed to 912.880.2333 or 912.880.2002

3                     Applications are reviewed and those candidates that meet qualifications are scheduled for a panel interview with one of our Recruitment Teams. 

4                     Recruitment Teams determine if candidate meets qualifications for second level interview.  The interview lasts approximately 4 hours.

5                     Selected candidates are notified of second interview with Plant Supervisor.

6                     If Plant Supervisor makes a selection they will be made a contingent job offer by the company Recruiter. 

7                     A Pre-Employment Physical, Nationwide Background Check and Driving History Check are conducted.

8                     Selected candidates is notified of results and given a tentative start date to begin employment.

9                     Candidate begins employment with SNF Chemtall.
