What you will be doing:
-Focal point and direct interface to the customer providing on-site and remote software upgrades and Technical/product expertise leading to timely and effective installation of release level software.
-Engineer will interface with engineering/TAC and New Product teams in the support of Software Upgrade activities related to upgrades of all deployed products.
-Employee will provide technical support, which encompasses product troubleshooting for hardware or software problems encounter during software installations.
-Engineer will perform system level verification of equipment status. Will also develop and coordinate Product Life Cycle departmental deliverables for assigned projects.
What you need:
-A minimum of 1-3 years experience in field service technical support.
-Must have excellent problem solving/analytical skills. Strong oral/written communications skills required, ability to effectively deal with multiple activities and changing priorities and proven problem solving and organizational skills.
-Must be able to perform in critical situations and be willing to travel with minimal notice.
-Ability to follow documented processes for performing upgrades.
-Knowledge of Procomm Plus and other terminal emulator programs are required.
-UNIX OR LINUX SKILLS ARE PREFERRED.
