Currently, we are seeking a SOURCING & SUPPLY MGMT SPECIALIST at the Roswell Building 300 location at Roswell, GA.
Scope
This position typically reports to a Manager or Director in Sourcing and Supply and is responsible for procuring Nonwovens roll good materials for several Kimberly-Clark businesses. The businesses include, Personal Care, KC Professional, and Health Care. Key Expectations are as follows,
Procuring assigned goods and services which provide the best overall value to KC.
Developing pricing agreements and systems contracts with suppliers.
Being knowledgeable of market conditions for goods and services purchased.
Responsible for procurement of assigned commodities within established policies and procedures.
Working with customers, develop procurement strategies for specific purchases or commodities which will best meet business needs.
Responsible to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers
Solicit, evaluate, negotiate, and award complex contracts for specific purchases (complex technical, commercial, and/or financial aspects).
Administer contracts in an equitable manner including changes, claims, waivers, releases
Assist in formulating and managing the supplier relationships and key objectives.
Manage assigned projects to reduce costs (internal and/or external) or modify procedures or systems to meet specific needs.
Advise and train customers, as required on purchasing approaches/procedures
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related discipline
Continued updating and/or progress toward advanced degree or equivalent in area of technical expertise
7 to10 years experience within Supply Chain, Research or Engineering
Other Qualifications:
Key skills include analytical, collaboration, communication, negotiation and strategic thinking
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Procurement experience
Mill operations, Business Support or process engineering experience with nonwovens or related technical fields
Dimensions
Typically $8-60 million of operating and capital purchases for both mill and corporate staff customers. Requirements/specifications of purchases are generally partially defined and require final development in conjunction with customers and suppliers.
