SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - PHYSICAL REHAB - PRN, VARIED SHIFTS
Speech Pathologist is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of communicative disorders including aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, dysphagia and other disorders secondary to stroke, brain injury or related neuropathology. She/he is responsible for planning and implementing a treatment program based on a team approach which is discussed during regularly scheduled patient care conferences. The position should allow organization for timely documentation and charging, staff and student supervision, maintenance of a safe work environment and participation in professional, staff and program development .
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, and/or EXPERIENCE Licensed in the State of Georgia to practice Speech / Language Pathology or Temporary Georgia License while completing Clinical Fellowship Year. Prior experience working with neurologically impaired adults and competence in modified barium swallows is desired. REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS Licensed in the State of Georgia to practice Speech / Language Pathology. BLS certification required. OTHER REQUIRED SPECIAL SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE Excellent customer service skills are essential. Flexibility and versatility are highly desirable.
