Our client is seeking an experienced Information Technology Analyst to join their National Healthcare Consulting and CPA firm located in downtown Atlanta. 

This role will require you to:

  Perform extensive analysis of healthcare claims data to identify potential system issues, overpayments and fraud within government sponsored health care programs
  
  
• 
  
  Conduct file review, data mining and use other investigative tools to verify that claim payments comply with published policies, guidelines and procedures set forth by the American Medical Association, the American Dental Association as well as other state programs, this process includes identifying overpayments, preparing and submitting results to clients, contacting providers for recoupment and addressing provider appeals

  Maintain claims database using SQL Server, database size is approximately 3 terabytes
  
  
• 
  
  Coordinate data designs and secure receipt from data sources
  
  
• 
  
  Analyze business logic and streamline business processes
  
  
• 
  
  Implement computerized algorithms to meet various business needs
  
  
• 
  
  Design and develop dynamic applications to allow business analysts to meet project goals
  
  
• 
  
  Automate routines to improve efficiency and reduce errors

Minimum Requirements:

• 
  
  Extensive knowledge of SQL Server
  
  
• 
  
  Five  plus years experience with database management, data mining, or data analysis
  
  
• 
  
  Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting or other relevant field of study
  
  
• 
  
  Leadership/project management experience requiring effective organization and communication skills as well as an ability to work with aggressive timelines
  
  
• 
  
  Healthcare Reimbursement or Policy Experience preferred

Terms:

  This is a 6 month contract with the opportunity for fulltime employment at the end of teh contract offering a starting salary in the range of 80 to 90K, depending upon experience and match to requirements.
