Immediate opening for a SQL 2005/2008 Programmer in our client's Information Technology Division. The successful candidate for this position could work out of Des Moines, IA or Waterloo, IA location.
Job Description:
Strong Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2005, 2008)
Write and review functional specifications, perform unit and system tests, troubleshoot and implement logged bug fixes
Programming in T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers and ETL processes
Be able to performance tune any stored procedure, function, view, trigger, or query by utilizing all means necessary (indexes, partitioning, database hints, etc)
Database diagraming (ER, UML)
Assist in the development and implementation of new applications
Conduct unit and system testing / troubleshooting of software as member of the development team
The requirements for this position are:
BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or equivalent education and experience
Three to five years experience in programming in SQL, preferably T-SQL, or similar language
Knowledgeable of system test methodologies
Good communication skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize effectively to meet customer needs
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
This position requires an in-depth ability to design, implement, and debug complex SQL structures, events, timing, and relationships.
