SUMMARY

The SQL Report Developer/Analyst will be responsible for leading enterprise data reporting development projects and corresponding data analysis support.   Responsibilities include understanding business requirements, analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation, and support of enterprise data management and reporting services.  Coordination of all aspects of projects, code reviews, development and support of department standards and guidelines.  Additionally, SQL Report Developer/Analyst will serve as technical expert and consultant to other groups within IT and the user community.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

1.      Assesses business needs and develops plans for delivery of information that best meet the needs of the customer.

2.      Execute data loading techniques for all data management and reporting projects which include extracting a desired subset of data.

3.      Knowledge of mappings from source tables to destination tables.

4.      Write SQL code to extract, transform, and load data ensuring compatibility with all tables and customer specifications.

5.      Maintain development plans, project scope on-time delivery, and completion within budget.  Controlling and monitoring project progress, risks, remediation, change management processes, communicating status to appropriate stakeholders, and closing out projects.

6.      Interact heavily with different levels within the organization, as well as establish and maintain customer relationships.

7.      Reviews technical literature, attends meetings and training opportunities, and keeps-up-to-date on emerging technologies related to information systems and their proper use.

8.      Knowledge in theory, principle, and practices of computer operations, database systems, and software.

9.      Must be detail oriented with good organization, verbal, and people skills, service-oriented and a team player.

Qualifications

1.      Bachelor of Science or Administration degree in Technology or equivalent, with a proven track record and relevant diversified experience in the field of Information Technology

2.      Minimum 5+ years ‘hands on’ experience in Information Technology designing and building successful reporting applications

3.      Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services   

4.      Experience developing in MS SQL

5.      Experience with integration to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server

6.      Experience with Microsoft Excel (in a scale of 1 to 10, at least an 8)

7.      Experience with Microsoft Access (in a scale of 1 to 10, at least an 5)

8.      Ability to estimate, plan and execute technical projects

9.      SQL Server 2000/2005

10.  Excellent team player abilities

11.  Good understanding of general business practices

12.  End to end experience of the software development life-cycle

13.  Ideally a track record of project delivery

14.  Ambitious self-started with the ability to manage a range of projects in parallel.
