SQL Server Database Administrator

We have an immediate contract to hire opportunity for a SQL Server DBA. This opportunity is with one of the leading companies in the area and considered one of the top places to work.
Client is looking for a Production / Systems DBA with some Datawarehousing experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Maintain security, availability and integrity of database systems
* Ensure optimal performance of databases and capacity planning
* Monitor automated jobs and processes
* Participate in planning and developing projects
* Recommend hardware configurations for database systems
* Work with engineers and other team members to support the production environment
* Provide leadership in designing long-term database architectures and testing environments
* Problem solving and issue resolution on production SQL stand alone and cluster databases.
* Operational support for SQL Report services
* Datawarehousing
Requirements:
* 5 years of work experience as a Production / Systems SQL Server DBA with primarily SQL Server 2000 / 2005
* Strong working knowledge of stored procedure development
* Strong performance tuning skills
* Analyst skills for understanding business and technical requirements and forming appropriate database solutions
* Strong organizational and analytical skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Basic understanding of the systems implementation life cycle and business environment
* Relevant industry knowledge and ability to adapt to future technology changes
* Must be a Team Player and the ability to work with all levels and roles of IT
