About the job:

DBA will be responsible for reviewing and approving SQL stored procedures and data modification script to production, will interact with 50 .Net Developers and a large DBA Operations group to provide feedback on the scripts that were submitted.

Required Qualification:
Requires 3-5 years database design and development in production environment.
Understanding of database logical and physical design

Practical experience with writing stored procedures using established coding conventions
Experience with trace flags
Knowledge of SQL Server System Views
Ability to read many execution plans and rapidly identify performance bottlenecks 

Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
Good Communication skills and a team player, self starter, motivated
Financial industry experience is a plus.

Desired Skills:
Must have expertise with SQL Server 2005 T-SQL enhancements
Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 Dynamic Management Views

Hands on experience on performance tuning with large/complex SQL database

Programming experience in .NET a big plus

Education:

4 year degree in Computer Science, MIS or equiv. experience
