The Sr. Cost Analyst will provide a full range of financial support to the Des Plaines manufacturing facility to include: 1) Responsible to coordinate and consolidate Plan/Update/LBEs specific to operations and QA department budgets, PPV and distressed inventory. 2) Responsible to coordinate and consolidate Plan/Update specific to inventory. 3) On a monthly basis, perform close procedures around PPV, absorption, distressed inventory, departmental spending and MUV. Compare and analyze actual results to Plan/Update/LBE benchmark and review with financial and operations management. 4) Support the annual standard setting process and specifically responsible for working with purchasing to set purchased standards and material burden rates. This includes identifying major cost change drivers, determing root causes and validating standard cost information. 5) Perform ad hoc analysis for Operations and Finance management. 6) Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to include inventory, SRV, inventory reserve and in-transit inventory. 7) Provide monthly OMC and Inventory reporting to Abbott Molecular division HQ to include MFRP, Greybook and the monthly reporting package as well as OMC & DOH Pre/Post Exec consolidation schedules during the Plan and Update processes. QUALIFICATIONS: Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a strong analytical, technical and problem solving skill set, along with the ability to communicate, manage multiple priorities, achieve required timelines and work with various levels of management. A minimum of 4-6 years combined experience in cost accounting, auditing, financial reporting or financial planning and analysis is required. Strong Excel skills and previous experience with Essbase is preferred.
