Safety Tech - STL

Code Red Safety is seeking Safety Supervisors in the Granite City, IL area with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Safety Manager or Industrial Safety Supervisor, with experience in environments such as Utility Power Plants, Refineries, Concrete/Cement, or Steel Mills. Candidates must possess a minimum OSHA 30 certification.

We have short-term contract opportunities available for (2) two Health and Safety professionals for approximately 1-2 months to provide on site safety support at client’s locations. The tentative schedule is six (6) days per week Monday through Saturday ten (10) hours per day on the daylight shift and ten (10) hours on the night shift so there will be plenty of overtime. The successful applicant must have knowledge and practical application in OSHA General Industry and/or Construction standards. 

Job Description: Candidate must have knowledge of safety and health procedures, CPR/first aid methods, and familiarity with OSHA Construction Safety Standards. Candidate must have a good analytical, human relations, communication, and training skills. Responsibilities include promoting a safe and healthy work environment for employees, subcontractors, and vendors. As the Site Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for evaluating and enforcing site safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
