Our National Security Global Business is currently seeking a Safety Program Analyst. This position is located in Washington, D.C. supporting the Commander Naval Installations Command (CNIC).
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC) is responsible for Navy-wide shore installation management to include program execution oversight in support of Fleet and Regional Commanders. The successful candidate will be a member of the CNIC N3 Safety Program Group assisting the government Program Manager in contract support, project management, technical reviews
Primary Responsibilities:
- Draft specifications, write procedures, policy manuals and other project execution documentation.
- Develop and brief project information to all levels of government, academia, industry, military and scientific audiences.
- Respond to tasks at a project (technical/operational) level
- Assist in generating, applying, preparing, analyzing and/or assessing program or task data.
THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Bachelors of Science degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical field
- 7+ years post degree experience relevant to Public Health and or Safety
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) (BCSP accredited)
- Experience developing safety policies, such as for conducting evaluations of Safety Occupational Health (SOH)
- Must have working knowledge of Safety related Federal agencies, such as OSHA and NIOSH
- Experience serving as safety related subject matter expert and providing guidance to headquarters Staff.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of operational users, technical developers and government program managers
- Perform work independently and as a group member
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
Masters Degree in Science related field
