National Grid is seeking a Safety Representative to work in our Watertown, New York location for our Safety Department. This position will assist in the establishment and implementation of regulatory compliance and incident prevention activities regarding the safety and health of employees, contractors and the public, as they interact with company operations. Including: Must be able to analyze and follow-up on all serious incidents and develop performance improvements/action plans/”lessons learned” to guide management. Research standards and practices, coordinate, facilitate and develop specialized regulatory and non-regulatory safety training courses for affected employees. Assist and support other lines of business in managing safety training metrics, assist and support industrial hygiene exposure assessments that include indoor air quality, hazardous materials exposures and ergonomic assessments. Function as a first responder to inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies such as OSHA. Requirements: Preferences:
