The Account Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical aspects of distribution channel account management on a day to day basis. This person is responsible for informing the company of all opportunities, issues, processes, strategies, and any other pertinent information related to developing a top perfoming account. This person will have direct revenue responsibility and goals for each account.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· First point of contact for key distribution partner and OEM partners
· Maintain strong partner relationships in an effort to expand glu’s exposure and market share
· Responsible for sell-in, acceptance and timely launch of all games in portfolio
· Maximize position & deck placement for key glu titles on a regular basis to achieve maximum revenues through promotions & marketing vehicles
· Complete ongoing ROI analysis and prioritize any outstanding revenue opportunities quickly
· Onboard new carriers and distributors being mindful of resource constraints and opportunity costs.
· Work closely with Marketing to ensure that titles are being launched for maximum exposure and revenue generation
· Forecast territory sales revenue anually and by quarter
· Achieve or exceed forecast sales revenue goals
· Communicate pertinent information to carrier & other accounts when necessary (Focus Groups, Research)
· Manage porting priorities by carrier and OEM’s
· Work closely with sales operations team to keep informed and prioritize opportunities, new devices, key devices, gap’s in backfilling titles.
· Manage and maintain handset support and title support
WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelors degree in marketing or related field. MBA a plus.
· Minimum of 3 years relevant sales or marketing experience, 3+ years in wireless carrier relations or gaming preferred. Sales, Marketing or Carrier Relations\Mobile Game Sales experience in mobile or gaming a plus.
· Must possess a strong work ethic and enjoy working in an extremely fast paced environment.
· Must possess the ability to communicate and present effectively at all levels of the business (i.e., sales, development, administration and marketing).
· Ability to manage multiple tasks unsupervised.
· Experience in a “startup-like” work environment a plus.
