SALES REPRESENTATIVE – PHILADELPHIA DISTRICT OFFICE

Orbital Engineering,^® Inc., a nationally recognized multi-discipline engineering company with offices in Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Chicago, IL, Detroit, MI, Toledo, OH, and Houston, TX, is seeking a motivated Sales Representative/Outside Sales Person  for the Philadelphia District Office, located in Bensalem, PA.

Currently, Orbital Engineering,^® Inc. is providing consulting engineering and design services for a variety of customers in the following industries:

Chemicals

General Heavy Manufacturing

Steel

Petrochemicals

Power Generation (fossil)

Pulp and Paper

Refining

The preferred candidate will have 5-10 years of prior engineering and/or technical sales experience with the ability and to identify, develop, and manage new and existing customers as well as strategic business development opportunities within the regional (greater Philadelphia, PA) and Corporate target markets.  Candidate must demonstrate strong communication and relationship management skills.  The successful candidate must be willing to consistently make cold calls and perform prospecting to create and build sales opportunities in order to grow Orbital’s customer base and sales revenue. 

This position requires a bachelor’s degree.  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products, a technical degree and specific knowledge of one or all of the following industries is preferred: steel, chemical, refining, pharmaceutical and power markets.  Experience in marketing engineering services to heavy industrial and commercial customers in the greater Philadelphia area is a plus.    Regional travel is required for the position.
