This client is in the FACILITY SERVICES / JANITORIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY. They employ 2000 people each of the Mississippi, are in 16 states, and their annual revenue is about $110MM. They provide "facility support/housekeeping services", primarily for manufacturing companies. They might start by handling all of the "housekeeping" at a manufacturing facility but will then move into painting, moving, landscaping, security, packaging - all those "functions" that the Facilities/Operations person at the plant really doesn't want to bother with. Most of their contracts are long term and many are regional. A great deal of their business is with pharmaceuticals - Eli Lilly and Pfizer are among their clients. Lots of room for growth and advancement. Really practical, down-to-earth, hard working owners.
POSITION: Sales Account Rep - Atlanta, GA (Covering most Atlanta, GA but may expand in SE USA)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Will work with existing clients (mainly manufacturing facilities - automotive, pharmaceuticals, food packaging and more) to increase "services" with them (may be doing "housekeeping" - now trying to get painting, moving, landscaping, etc.) and will work on new business development, as well. Sales forecasting, traveling throughout GA (primarily Atlanta Area but territory will grow to cover more of Atlanta and into Southeast USA) to call on prospective clients to solicit new business and managing the successful display and presentation at all trade shows. Will work from a branch office in Norcross, GA.
QUALIFICATIONS: Degree Preferred but not required; 3+ years Sales experience selling "janitorial services" or "housekeeping services" or "contract cleaning", preferably to manufacturing customers. Must have excellent people skills. Must have sold "larger $ sales" and in the $1MM annually - so questions to ask: What is your largest sale (Should be $100K+) What are your annual sales (should be $1MM+); ability to effectively cold call; experience with ACT software a plus; ability to work independently.
LOCATION: Work from branch office in Norcross, GA (Atlanta, GA area) with some time spent in "headquarters" in Wauconda, IL (Northern Chicago suburb)
SALARY: $40K - $45K Base + Commissions (can reach "six figures" including comm. with base - won't reach that in first year probably) + $450/mo. Car Allowance + Cell Phone + Lap Top
